Community Projects
We applaud the work done by community organizations to
enhance the beauty of our local towns with planting projects large and small.
We like to help out where we can, and part of that help is to share the
successes – and challenges – some of you are experiencing.
Here is an overview of some recent community projects.

John Wefler and Mike Blanchard heft 150 pounds of
Trinity Hardy Mix lawn seed donated to the Weaverville Cemetery Association
by community supporters and Trinity Nursery.

Weaverville Cemetery Association
We were happy to support the Weaverville Cemetery
Association’s lawn seed drive. For every pound of Trinity Hardy Mix lawn
seed you purchased and donated to the Association this past October,
Trinity Nursery donated a pound of seed.
With a total of 75 pounds donated by community then
matched by Trinity Nursery, the Weaverville Cemetery Association met their
goal of 150 pounds of lawn seed. With the arrival of spring, the
Association picked up their seed.
Kudos to all who supported this lawn seed drive to help
keep the Weaverville Cemetery green!

Arbor Day Trees Planted
Every year on or around March 7, the birth date of
renowned horticulturist Luther Burbank, many Californians plant trees in
celebration of Arbor Day.
Community groups in Trinity County have really come to
embrace this tradition over the years and Trinity Nursery continues to
support their efforts by donating trees.
This year we had eight groups take us up on our offer,
planting trees from Lewiston to Willow Creek, Hyampom to Coffee Creek, and
many points in between.
- Hyampom Elementary School: Bartlett Pear on campus - white
spring flowers, fruit and fall colors
- Coffee Creek Elementary School: New Bradford Flowering
Pear on campus - white spring flowers and fall colors
- Weaverville Cemetery Assoc.: Pink Chitalpa at
Weaverville Cemetery - pink summer flowers
- Lewiston Garden Club: Tupelo at The Dixie Wilson
Memorial Garden - fall colors
- Willow Creek Elementary School: Raywood Ash on campus
- fall colors
- Weaverville Preschool: Rose of Sharon at Lowden Park -
summer flowers
- Weaverville Elementary School: Chanticleer Flowering
Pear on campus - white spring flowers and fall colors
- Trinity
Garden Club: Flowering Plum at Weaverville Cemetery - pink spring
flowers, attractive purple foliage, good fall colors
We look forward to watching these trees grow. If you have
any photos of these Arbor Day planting parties and would like them posted
here on our website, please email them to us at newsletter@TrinityNursery.com.
Congratulations for a job well done!
Trinity Garden Club’s Nugget Lane Project
Many of you have seen the wonderful landscaping on the
bank between Nugget Lane and Hwy 299 in Weaverville.
This project was spearheaded by Weaverville’s Trinity
Garden Club with lots of community support.
Trinity Nursery is happy to have been able to help the
Trinity Garden Club achieve their goals and complete this community
beautification project. It has really enhanced the beauty of Weaverville.
Congratulations Trinity Garden Club!
